Jalgsema
Jalgsema is a village in Järva Parish, Järva County, Estonia. It is located approximately 10 kilometers southeast of Järva-Jaani. As of 2011, the population was 41.
The village is known for the Jalgsema hill fort, a significant archaeological site dating back to the Iron Age. Traces of ancient settlements and fortifications have been discovered there. Historically, the area has been part of various manorial estates. The name Jalgsema is believed to be derived from older Estonian terms relating to footpaths or crossing points.
