Jack Tempchin
Jack Tempchin is an American singer-songwriter best known for writing or co-writing the Eagles hits "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Already Gone." He has also written songs for Glenn Frey, George Thorogood, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, and numerous other artists.
Born in San Diego, California, Tempchin began his music career in the early 1970s. He formed the band The Funky Kings, releasing one album in 1976. However, it was his songwriting that brought him widespread recognition.
His songs are characterized by their laid-back, California-influenced feel and often deal with themes of love, loss, and the search for meaning. While he is primarily known for his work with the Eagles, Tempchin has maintained a successful solo career, releasing several albums under his own name. He continues to tour and perform his music. His catalog also includes songs featured in film and television soundtracks. Tempchin is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
