Jón Ólafur Jónsson (basketball)

Jón Ólafur Jónsson is an Icelandic former professional basketball player. He primarily played the forward positions.

Jón Ólafur played professionally in Iceland's premier basketball league, the Úrvalsdeild karla, for several clubs, including ÍR Reykjavik, KR Reykjavik, and Stjarnan. He was known for his rebounding and inside scoring.

Throughout his career, Jón Ólafur received several accolades, including selections to the Icelandic All-Star game. He also represented Iceland on the national team in various international competitions.

After retiring from professional basketball, Jón Ólafur remained involved in the sport through coaching and youth development programs.
