InvestHK
InvestHK is the department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government responsible for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Its mission is to attract and retain foreign investment in Hong Kong.
InvestHK provides free advice and services to support companies from overseas and Mainland China to set up or expand their business presence in Hong Kong. This includes providing information on business opportunities, assistance with navigating regulatory requirements, and facilitating connections with relevant government departments and business partners.
The department targets specific sectors including, but not limited to: financial services, innovation and technology, tourism and hospitality, transport and industrial, and creative industries. They actively promote Hong Kong as a premier investment destination in Asia through international outreach events, marketing campaigns, and partnerships.
InvestHK works closely with other government agencies and private sector organizations to foster a business-friendly environment in Hong Kong. It aims to enhance Hong Kong's position as a leading international business hub and contribute to the overall economic growth of the city.
The organization is headed by a Director-General of Investment Promotion, who reports to the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.
