Iceman (2014 film)

Iceman (2014 film) is a Hong Kong-Chinese martial arts fantasy action film directed by Law Wing-cheong. It is a remake of the 1989 Hong Kong film The Iceman Cometh.

The film stars Donnie Yen, Wang Baoqiang, Eva Huang, and Simon Yam. Yen also served as the film's action director and producer. The story revolves around a Ming Dynasty imperial guard who, along with three sworn enemies, is accidentally frozen in time during a battle. They are thawed out in modern-day Hong Kong, where they must continue their battle while adapting to the 21st century.

Iceman was released in two parts. The first part, Iceman, was released in 2014. A sequel, Iceman: The Time Traveler, was released in 2018. The film received largely negative reviews, with critics citing poor CGI, a convoluted plot, and a lack of originality. Despite the negative reception, the film was a moderate commercial success in China.
