Holding the Baby (American TV series)
Holding the Baby is an American sitcom that aired on Fox in 1998. The series starred Jennifer Westfeldt as Kelly and Jon Patrick Walker as Jimmy Stiles, two young, unmarried parents struggling to raise their baby, Emily.
The show revolved around the challenges and humorous situations that arose from their lack of experience and the differing advice they received from their families and friends. A key element of the comedy was the conflict between Kelly and Jimmy's more traditional upbringing and their desire to raise Emily in a more progressive and unconventional manner.
Holding the Baby was created by Mark Hentemann and was produced by NBC Productions. Despite a cast that also included Jane Morris and Dan Cortese, the series was short-lived, lasting only seven episodes. It received mixed reviews and was ultimately cancelled due to low ratings.
