Holbeach

Holbeach is a market town and civil parish in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of Spalding and 17 miles (27 km) southwest of Boston.

History: Holbeach has a history dating back to at least the Roman period, with evidence of Roman settlement in the area. The town is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Holebech." Historically, the area was known for its agricultural production, particularly bulb growing. Holbeach was once an important port, though its access to the sea has diminished over time due to land reclamation.
