Hoffman (Cleveland automobile)
The Hoffman was an American automobile manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1902 to 1904. The Hoffman Automobile and Machine Company, led by John H. Hoffman, produced these vehicles. They were initially offered as steam-powered runabouts but transitioned to gasoline-powered models. The gasoline cars were generally small, two-passenger vehicles, and were advertised as being reliable and easy to operate. Production numbers were low, and few examples are known to exist today. The company ceased automobile production after a relatively short period, likely due to competition from larger, more established manufacturers and difficulties in securing consistent capital and market share.
