Ho Tam (artist)

Ho Tam is a Hong Kong-born Canadian artist, filmmaker, and curator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. His practice spans photography, video, printmaking, and artist books, often exploring themes of identity, sexuality, migration, and cultural hybridity. Tam’s work frequently incorporates found images and texts, re-contextualizing them to create new narratives and challenge conventional perceptions.

Tam received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts. His films and videos have been screened internationally at festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums across North America, Europe, and Asia. He is also the publisher of Hotam Press, which produces limited-edition artist books.
