Hermann Schulz (politician)
Hermann Schulz (born June 15, 1940) is a German politician. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1994 to 2009, representing Germany. Within the European Parliament, he was known for his work on environmental policy and energy policy. He was also involved in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. Schulz was born in Gotha, Thuringia. Before entering politics, he worked as a teacher.
