Henry Parry (priest)
Henry Parry (died 1616) was a Welsh clergyman who served as Bishop of Gloucester from 1607 until his death.
Born in Newland, Gloucestershire, he was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, becoming a Fellow in 1584. He held various positions in the Church of England before his elevation to the episcopate. Prior to his appointment as Bishop of Gloucester, he served as rector of Epping, Essex, and as chaplain to King James I.
Parry was consecrated Bishop of Gloucester on 13 December 1607. During his tenure, he oversaw the administration of the diocese and participated in ecclesiastical affairs of the time. He is not particularly noted for any significant theological contributions or extensive writings, but rather for his role as an administrator and figure within the established church.
He died in 1616 and was buried in Gloucester Cathedral.
