Vercurago
Vercurago is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Milan and about 4 kilometres (2 mi) southeast of Lecco.
Vercurago is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Garlate and is part of the mountain community of Lario Orientale - Valle San Martino. It borders the following municipalities: Calolziocorte, Erve, Garlate, Lecco, Olginate.
The area is known for its natural beauty, including opportunities for hiking and water sports on the lake. Historically, the area has seen settlements dating back to Roman times, and it later came under the influence of various noble families. The economy is a mix of agriculture, tourism, and small-scale industry. Population is approximately 3,000 (estimate based on recent trends). The primary patron saint is Saint Gervasius and Protasius, celebrated on June 19.
