Henry Bathurst (priest)

Henry Bathurst (1744-1824) was an English clergyman and writer. He was a member of the Bathurst family, a prominent family involved in politics and intellectual life.

Bathurst was born in London on October 16, 1744. He was educated at Eton College and King's College, Cambridge, where he was a fellow. He took holy orders and became a prebendary of Norwich Cathedral in 1775, a position he held for the rest of his life. He also served as rector of Hollesley, Suffolk.
