Hector Gárdony

Hector Gárdony (born March 14, 1972) is a Hungarian jazz pianist and composer residing in Boston, Massachusetts. He is known for his intricate harmonies, rhythmic complexity, and melodic inventiveness within the modern jazz idiom.

Gárdony studied at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest and later at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he is currently a professor. He has performed and recorded extensively as a leader and sideman, collaborating with numerous notable jazz musicians. His discography includes albums showcasing both original compositions and reinterpretations of jazz standards.

Gárdony's work often incorporates elements of Hungarian folk music and classical music traditions into a jazz framework.
