Beljin

Beljin (often misspelled as Bel'jin or Bel'gin) is a fictional character and a recurring antagonist in the Diablo video game franchise, primarily appearing in Diablo III and its expansion, Reaper of Souls. Beljin is a powerful enchanter and cultist, devoted to serving the Prime Evil, Diablo. He is often associated with necromantic practices and dark magic.

In the storyline, Beljin is encountered as a follower of Malthael, the Angel of Death, after Malthael's fall from grace. Beljin serves Malthael by performing rituals and utilizing his enchantment skills to corrupt and strengthen the angel's army. He plays a key role in Malthael's plot to end the Eternal Conflict by eliminating both demons and humans, perceiving them as tainted by demonic influence.

Beljin is notable for his cunning and strategic thinking. Although not possessing the raw power of some other major antagonists, he makes up for it with his intellect and ability to manipulate events to further his master's goals. His knowledge of arcane arts and his loyalty make him a significant threat to the player characters (Nephalem).

Beljin's ultimate fate is sealed when he is confronted and defeated by the Nephalem in the course of their quest to stop Malthael and restore balance to the world of Sanctuary. His death weakens Malthael's forces and provides the Nephalem with crucial information to proceed in their mission.
