Theodor Körner (opera)
Theodor Körner is an opera in four acts by Carl August Krebs, with a libretto by Karl August Krebs. It premiered in Dresden in 1861. The opera is based on the life of the German poet and soldier Theodor Körner, a figure of German nationalism during the Napoleonic Wars. The opera portrays Körner as a heroic figure, emphasizing his patriotism and his tragic early death in battle. The music is in a late-Romantic style, characteristic of Krebs's compositions.
