Harry Morton (restaurateur)
Harry Morton (1981 – 2019) was an American businessman and restaurateur best known for founding the Pink Taco restaurant chain and his involvement with the Hard Rock Cafe franchise.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Harry Morton was the son of Peter Morton, co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe, and model/actress Paulene Stone. He was also the grandson of Arnie Morton, founder of Morton's The Steakhouse. This lineage placed him firmly within a family known for its success in the hospitality industry.
Morton launched the Pink Taco chain, known for its Baja-style Mexican food, in 1999. He later sold the chain to Z Capital Partners.
He also held a prominent role within the Hard Rock Cafe business, inheriting a passion and understanding of the brand from his father. He owned and operated several Hard Rock Cafe locations, demonstrating his commitment to the family legacy.
Beyond restaurants, Morton was known for his involvement in various nightlife venues in Los Angeles.
Harry Morton died on November 23, 2019, at the age of 38. His death was attributed to heart disease. He left behind a legacy within the restaurant and entertainment industries.
