Harmon School (Millsboro, Delaware)
Harmon School was a historic school building located in Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was a two-story, three-bay, gable-roofed frame building. The school was built circa 1880 and expanded with a two-story addition in 1912. The original section was sheathed in clapboard and the addition in asbestos shingle. The school served the local community as an educational facility for many years. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Unfortunately, the Harmon School was demolished in 1984. The location is now occupied by a commercial establishment. Despite its demolition, the Harmon School remains a part of the historical record of education in Millsboro, Delaware.
