HNoMS Svenner (G03)
The HNoMS Svenner (G03) was a Hunt-class destroyer of the Royal Norwegian Navy. Originally commissioned by the Royal Navy as HMS Shark (G03), she was transferred to Norway in 1946 and renamed Svenner.
She served during World War II under British command before being transferred. Her wartime duties included escorting convoys in the Arctic and Atlantic, protecting shipping from U-boat attacks and surface raiders.
Following her transfer to Norway, the Svenner was an important part of the postwar Norwegian Navy, serving in various roles including coastal defense, training, and participation in NATO exercises. She underwent several modernizations throughout her service to keep her equipment and capabilities up to date.
The HNoMS Svenner was eventually decommissioned and later scrapped, marking the end of her service life. Details of her specific operational history and decommissioning date require further research to provide fully accurate information.
