HMS Quantock (L58)

HMS Quantock (L58) was a Hunt-class destroyer of the Type III subclass of the Royal Navy. She was commissioned on 27 July 1942, and served throughout the Second World War.

Quantock served primarily in the English Channel and the North Sea, escorting convoys and engaging German E-boats and other light surface craft. She participated in several notable actions, including the sinking of the German torpedo boat T29 in April 1944. She also provided fire support during the Normandy landings in June 1944, and continued to operate in the Channel throughout the remainder of the war.

Following the end of hostilities, Quantock was placed in reserve. She was eventually sold for scrap in 1958.
