Graham Petrie (writer)

Graham Petrie (1932-2018) was a Canadian academic, film critic, and writer, best known for his work on film theory, European cinema, and individual filmmakers such as Ingmar Bergman and Sergei Eisenstein.

Petrie was born in Scotland and emigrated to Canada, where he pursued a career in academia. He held teaching positions at McMaster University and later at the University of British Columbia, where he established himself as a respected scholar in film studies.
