Larraun

Larraun is a municipality located in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain. It is situated in the comarca of Norte de Aralar, within the Merindad of Pamplona.

Larraun comprises a number of smaller villages and settlements. The economy of Larraun is primarily based on agriculture, livestock farming, and forestry. Tourism also plays a role, with visitors attracted by the natural beauty of the surrounding Aralar mountain range.

The Basque language (Euskara) is traditionally spoken in Larraun, and the municipality is located within the Basque-speaking zone of Navarre.

Historically, Larraun has been linked to the Kingdom of Navarre.
