Gorin (river)

The Gorin is a river located in the Khabarovsk Krai, Russia. It is a left tributary of the Amur River. The Gorin's length is 390 kilometers (240 mi), and its drainage basin covers an area of 22,200 square kilometers (8,600 sq mi).

The river originates in the Badzhal Range. It flows generally northeast through a mountainous region before entering the lowlands near its confluence with the Amur. The Gorin is primarily fed by snowmelt and rainfall. Its flow is characterized by high water levels during the spring thaw and after periods of heavy rain.

The river is navigable for a short distance upstream from its mouth by small boats. The surrounding area is sparsely populated, with forestry being the primary economic activity. The river is also used for fishing, though populations of fish have declined in recent years.
