Islington (horse)

Islington was a British Thoroughbred racehorse, foaled in 1999. She was a highly successful filly and mare known for her stamina and versatility, excelling at distances ranging from a mile to a mile and a half. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Islington achieved Group 1 victories in races such as the Nassau Stakes (twice), the Yorkshire Oaks, and the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf. She was ridden primarily by jockey Kieren Fallon. After retiring from racing, Islington became a broodmare.
