Aakkoset

Aakkoset is the Finnish word for alphabet. More specifically, it refers to the ordered set of letters used in the Finnish language. The Finnish alphabet is based on the Latin alphabet and contains 29 letters. These include the 26 standard letters (A-Z) plus the additional letters Å, Ä, and Ö. The letters B, C, F, Q, W, X, and Z are mainly used in loanwords. The pronunciation of the letters is generally phonetic and consistent. The term "aakkoset" can also be used more generally to refer to the alphabet of other languages, but it is primarily associated with the Finnish language.
