Tipraland

Tipraland is a proposed state in India, advocated for by various indigenous Tripuri nationalist organizations. The demand is for a separate state carved out of the present state of Tripura, primarily based on the perceived historical rights and current socio-economic needs of the Tripuri people, also known as Tiprasa.

The proposed Tipraland encompasses the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) areas, which constitute approximately two-thirds of the state's geographical area and are home to a significant portion of Tripura's indigenous population. Proponents argue that the creation of Tipraland would provide the indigenous population with greater political autonomy, protection of their cultural heritage, and improved opportunities for economic development.
