Flim Flam (horse)
Flim Flam was an American Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 1970. He was notable for winning the 1973 Arkansas Derby. Bred and owned by Elmer L. "Buddy" Bean, Flim Flam was trained by Smiley Adams.
Flim Flam's victory in the Arkansas Derby was a significant upset, earning him attention leading into the Kentucky Derby. However, he did not perform well in the Kentucky Derby, finishing out of the top contenders. He continued to race, achieving some success in other stakes races, but never reached the same level of prominence as his Arkansas Derby win. He retired from racing and stood at stud. His progeny had limited success in racing.
