Good God (TV series)
Good God was a Canadian television sitcom that aired on CTV in 2012. Created by Ken Finkleman, the series satirized the inner workings of a fictional television network, specifically focusing on the ethical compromises and absurd decisions made by its executives.
The show starred Peter Keleghan as Doug Evans, a newly appointed network head who struggles to maintain his integrity while navigating the often-illogical demands of his corporate superiors and the personalities of the on-screen talent. Other key cast members included Jason Jones, Colin Mochrie, and Caroline Rhea.
Good God offered a cynical and satirical perspective on the Canadian television industry. While it featured a strong comedic cast and writing, the show was cancelled after one season due to low ratings. It ran for 13 episodes. The series' humour often stemmed from the characters' blatant disregard for journalistic integrity and their willingness to prioritize ratings over quality programming.
