Glan-Münchweiler (Verbandsgemeinde)
The Verbandsgemeinde Glan-Münchweiler is a collective municipality (Verbandsgemeinde) in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. A Verbandsgemeinde is a type of administrative division unique to Rhineland-Palatinate. It comprises several smaller, legally independent municipalities (Ortsgemeinden) which delegate certain administrative powers to the Verbandsgemeinde administration while retaining a degree of autonomy.
The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde administration is located in the municipality of Glan-Münchweiler, which also lends its name to the collective municipality. The Verbandsgemeinde provides services such as administration, infrastructure maintenance (roads, water supply, sewage disposal), and fire protection for its constituent Ortsgemeinden.
