Gerald Washington (boxer)
Gerald Washington (born April 28, 1982) is an American professional boxer and former American football player. He competed in boxing at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Washington played college football at the University of Southern California (USC), where he was a defensive end and tight end. After college, he briefly played in the National Football League (NFL) as a tight end for the Buffalo Bills in 2007 and the Seattle Seahawks in 2008, before transitioning to a career in boxing.
As a professional boxer, Washington is known for his size and power. He has competed in the heavyweight division, facing notable opponents such as Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title in 2017, and Jarrell Miller in 2019. While he has not achieved world championship status, he remains an active contender in the heavyweight division. His boxing record consists of wins, losses, and draws.
