George Wallis (footballer)

George Wallis (born in Wolverhampton, date of birth unknown, died in 1968) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward. He is best known for his time playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wallis joined Wolves from local side Wulfrunians during the inter-war years. He made his debut for the club in 1925 and went on to make a limited number of appearances for the first team throughout the remainder of the decade. He was primarily a reserve team player, struggling to break into a Wolves side that featured established forwards.

After leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers, details of Wallis' subsequent playing career are scarce, and it is unknown if he continued to play professionally or at an amateur level. He died in 1968.
