George Thornton (rugby union)

George Thornton is a professional rugby union player who currently plays as a prop for Ealing Trailfinders in the English Championship.

Thornton began his career in the academy system of Leicester Tigers. He gained senior experience through loan spells at Nottingham Rugby and Coventry Rugby. After leaving Leicester, he joined Ampthill RUFC before moving to Cornish Pirates.

Thornton has represented England at under-18 level. He is known for his physicality and scrummaging ability. His move to Ealing Trailfinders provided him with the opportunity to compete at a high level within the English Championship.
