George Hilton (politician)

George Hilton (born November 20, 1956) is a Brazilian politician and evangelical pastor. He has served as a federal deputy representing Minas Gerais in the Chamber of Deputies on multiple occasions.

Hilton is known for his association with the Republicanos (Republicans), a political party with strong ties to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. He is himself a pastor within the church.

Throughout his career, Hilton has focused on issues related to religion, family values, and public security. He has been a vocal proponent of conservative social policies.

In 2015, he served briefly as the Minister of Sport in the government of President Dilma Rousseff. His appointment to this role was met with some controversy, given his background and lack of extensive experience in sports administration. He was later replaced in a cabinet reshuffle.

Hilton has been involved in various political debates and legislative initiatives during his time in Congress. His political positions generally align with the conservative wing of Brazilian politics.
