Freak of Nature (Freak of Nature album)

Freak of Nature is the self-titled debut album by the hard rock band Freak of Nature, released in 1993. The band was formed by former White Lion vocalist Mike Tramp, following White Lion's disbandment in 1991. Freak of Nature marked a departure from White Lion's glam metal sound, showcasing a heavier, more blues-infused hard rock style.

The album features ten tracks, including singles "Turn the Light On," "Rescue Me," and "What Am I." The band's lineup for the album consisted of Mike Tramp on vocals, Oliver Steffensen and Marcus Nand on guitars, Jerry Best on bass, and Johnny Haro on drums.

While Freak of Nature received positive reviews for its musicianship and songwriting, it did not achieve significant commercial success. It is, however, regarded by some as a solid and underrated hard rock album of the early 1990s. The album explored themes of personal struggle, societal issues, and the search for meaning. Following the release of the album, Freak of Nature toured in support of it, but ultimately disbanded in 1994.
