Youghal (UK Parliament constituency)
Youghal was a UK Parliament constituency in Ireland, returning one Member of Parliament (MP). It existed from 1801 to 1885.
History
The constituency was created in 1801 following the Acts of Union, which merged the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Kingdom of Ireland into the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. It succeeded the Youghal constituency in the pre-Union Irish House of Commons. Youghal was a parliamentary borough located in County Cork.
The constituency was abolished in 1885 under the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885. Its area was then incorporated into the East Cork constituency.
