Joe Cartwright (footballer)

Joe Cartwright (born December 1, 1934) is a former English professional footballer who played as a full-back.

Cartwright began his career at Walsall in 1951, making over 100 league appearances for the club. In November 1958, he transferred to Tranmere Rovers. He spent three seasons at Tranmere, contributing to their defensive line before leaving the club in 1961. After leaving Tranmere, his career path is less well documented, though it is believed he continued playing at a non-league level for a period.
