Veeram (2023 film)

Veeram is a 2023 Indian historical action film directed by Jayaraj, and produced by Raju Malliath. It is based on William Shakespeare's play Macbeth and tells the story of Chandu Chekavar, a warrior from the Vadakkan Pattukal ballads of North Malabar.

The film, shot in Hindi, English, and Malayalam, stars Kunal Kapoor in the lead role. It explores themes of ambition, betrayal, and violence, transplanting the essence of Macbeth into a pre-modern Indian context.
