Franco Romero (footballer, born 1995)

Franco Romero (born July 11, 1995) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Racing Club de Montevideo.

Career

Romero began his professional career with Boston River in Uruguay. He progressed through their youth ranks and made his senior debut in the Uruguayan Primera División. He subsequently played for other Uruguayan clubs, including Sud América.

In 2024, he joined Racing Club de Montevideo.

Playing Style

Romero primarily plays as a center-back. He is known for his aerial ability, tackling, and reading of the game.
