Francesco de' Medici (1614–1634)
Francesco de' Medici (2 November 1614 – 25 July 1634) was a member of the House of Medici, the ruling family of Florence and later Tuscany. He was the son of Cosimo II de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, and Maria Maddalena of Austria.
Francesco was the fourth child of his parents. He was not expected to rule, as he had two older brothers, Ferdinando II, who succeeded his father as Grand Duke, and Gian Carlo, who became a cardinal.
His life was cut short at the age of 19. He died unexpectedly in 1634. The cause of his death is not definitively known, although various theories and rumors circulated at the time.
