Fogaraté
Fogaraté is a word primarily used in Puerto Rico, and occasionally in other Spanish-speaking Caribbean regions, to describe an impromptu, informal, and often lively outdoor gathering or party. These gatherings are typically characterized by music, dancing, food (often grilled or cooked outdoors), and socializing. A fogaraté is usually spontaneous, not heavily planned, and often centered around a bonfire or some type of outdoor cooking fire (hence the connection to "fuego" meaning fire in Spanish). The atmosphere is generally casual and welcoming. The term can also imply a sense of community and celebration in an informal setting.
