Fatako

Fatako is a small town and commune in the Cercle of Goundam in the Tombouctou Region of Mali. It is located north of Lake Faguibine. The primary language spoken is Koyraboro Senni. The region is primarily agricultural, with fishing and farming being important economic activities. The town experiences a hot desert climate with minimal rainfall. Due to its location near Lake Faguibine, Fatako's agricultural practices are significantly impacted by the lake's fluctuating water levels and the challenges of desertification in the Sahel region.
