Order of Friendship (Kazakhstan)

The Order of Friendship (Kazakh: Достық ордені, Dostiq ordeni; Russian: Орден Дружбы, Orden Druzhby) is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is conferred upon citizens of Kazakhstan and foreign nationals for significant contributions to strengthening international harmony, promoting peace and friendship among nations, and for meritorious service in fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and other countries.

The Order is awarded to individuals involved in various fields, including economics, science, culture, and social development. Contributions that are recognized include those that promote understanding and cooperation between different cultures and societies, as well as those that contribute to the overall well-being and prosperity of Kazakhstan and its relationships with the world.

The Order of Friendship has two classes or degrees. The first class is the higher of the two. The insignia of the Order varies depending on the class. The award is presented by the President of Kazakhstan or by an authorized official on their behalf. The regulations governing the Order define the criteria for awarding the medal and the rights and responsibilities of recipients.
