Everything's Relative (1999 TV series)

Everything's Relative was an American sitcom that aired on NBC during the fall television season of 1999. The show revolved around the clash between two families from vastly different backgrounds who become connected when their children get engaged. The series explores themes of class differences, family dynamics, and cultural misunderstandings through comedic situations.

The show starred Eric Schaeffer as Jake Gorelick, a working-class man from Queens, New York. His fiancé, Suzanne Stein, was played by Emily Procter, a wealthy and sophisticated woman from Manhattan. The supporting cast included Jeffrey Tambor and Anita Gillette as Suzanne's parents, and Kevin Sussman and Serena Altschul as Jake's brother and sister.

Everything's Relative was created by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Despite its premise offering potential for humorous social commentary, the series received generally negative reviews from critics. It suffered from low ratings and was cancelled by NBC after only ten episodes had aired. The remaining four episodes were never broadcast in the United States.
