Love and Theft (duo)

Love and Theft is an American country music group composed of Eric Gunderson, Brian Bandas, and Stephen Barker Liles. Originally a trio, the group achieved success with a blend of country, pop, and rock influences.

The group formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006. Their name, "Love and Theft," is inspired by Bob Dylan's 2001 album of the same name.

Love and Theft signed with Carolwood Records, a subsidiary of Disney's Lyric Street Records, in 2008. Their debut single, "Runaway," was released in 2009 and became a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Their debut album, World Wide Open, was released in 2009.

After Lyric Street Records closed in 2010, Love and Theft signed with RCA Records Nashville. They released their self-titled second album in 2012, which included the hit single "Angel Eyes." The single reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

In 2016, Brian Bandas departed from the group. Gunderson and Liles continued as a duo, releasing new music and touring. The group’s music has explored themes of love, loss, and the complexities of relationships. While they have experienced changes in membership and record labels, Love and Theft has maintained a presence in the country music scene for over a decade.
