El Capricho (Madrid Metro)
El Capricho is a station on Line 5 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in the Alameda de Osuna neighborhood, in the Barajas district of Madrid, Spain.
The station opened on May 18, 1980, as part of the first extension of Line 5 from Canillejas to Alameda de Osuna. Its name, "El Capricho," refers to the nearby Parque El Capricho, a historic park known for its gardens, fountains, and architectural follies. The park itself was created in the late 18th and early 19th centuries for the Duchess of Osuna.
The station is an underground station, with access from Calle Arcaute. The platforms are standard length for the Madrid Metro system. El Capricho station primarily serves the residential area surrounding the park and provides access to the park itself.
