Ehrhardt (automobile)
The Ehrhardt was a German automobile manufactured from 1904 to 1912 by Fahrzeugfabrik Ehrhardt AG, located in Düsseldorf. Founded by Heinrich Ehrhardt, the company initially produced cars under license from Decauville. Later, they developed and produced their own designs, often characterized by robust construction and advanced engineering for the time. Ehrhardt vehicles included both touring cars and commercial vehicles, and were known for their reliability. The company eventually shifted its focus to the production of military vehicles and trucks, a trend that continued during World War I. While Ehrhardt passenger cars were produced for a relatively short period, they represent an important stage in the development of the German automotive industry.
