Dwight Foster (ice hockey)

Dwight Foster (born February 28, 1957) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1977 to 1982.

Foster was drafted 27th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft and 12th overall by the Cincinnati Stingers in the 1977 WHA Amateur Draft. He chose to sign with the Bruins.

A right winger, Foster played 141 NHL games for the Bruins, Colorado Rockies, and New Jersey Devils. He scored 22 goals and added 38 assists for 60 points. He also played 52 WHA games for the Cincinnati Stingers, scoring 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points.

Foster's junior career was primarily with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA).
