Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (India)

The Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) is the senior-most medical officer in the Indian Armed Forces. The DGAFMS is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare to serving and retired personnel of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as their dependents. The office oversees the medical, dental, and nursing services within the military, ensuring their readiness and effectiveness.

The DGAFMS heads the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), a unified medical service comprising medical, dental, nursing and para-medical personnel.
