Diego Rodríguez (footballer, born 1960)

Diego Rodríguez (born September 15, 1960) is a retired Argentine football midfielder. He is commonly known by the nickname "Chocho."

Rodríguez played the majority of his career for Racing Club de Avellaneda, where he played from 1979 to 1987. During his time at Racing, he was a key player and a fan favorite. He was known for his passing range and ability to control the midfield.

After leaving Racing, Rodríguez played for Deportivo Español from 1987 to 1990. He also had a brief spell with Club Atlético Lanús before retiring from professional football.

Rodríguez represented Argentina at the youth level, playing in the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship in Japan, where Argentina won the tournament. He was also a squad member for the senior national team, though his appearances were limited.

After his playing career, Rodríguez has remained involved in football, working as a coach and in various administrative roles. He is remembered as a significant figure in the history of Racing Club.
