Derek Williams (boxer)
Derek Williams (born November 28, 1965) is an American former professional boxer. Williams competed in the heavyweight division and is best known for his trilogy of fights against Razor Ruddock.
Career: Williams began his professional boxing career in the late 1980s. He quickly gained a reputation for his aggressive style and punching power. While never capturing a major world title, Williams was a significant contender in the heavyweight ranks for several years.

- Razor Ruddock: Williams is most remembered for his three bouts against Donovan "Razor" Ruddock. The first fight on July 20, 1990, ended in a controversial majority decision victory for Ruddock. Many observers felt Williams had won. A rematch was quickly arranged on November 2, 1990, with Ruddock winning by a controversial majority decision again. The third fight took place on June 6, 1992, with Ruddock winning by TKO in the fourth round. These fights were known for their intense action and competitiveness.
